The purpose of Kofoed’s School is to offer help to self-help for people with social problems. By means of education, workshops, counseling, practical assistance and social interaction each student helps himself to get on with life. The school is based on the belief that each human being takes pleasure and pride in himself when offered the opportunity to build and take responsibility for one’s own life. The school is based on a humanitarian and Christian conviction. At the core of all the school’s activities lies a deep respect for the individual and the belief that all persons have equal value to and rights in society.
Every day, more than 600 students attend the school’s departments in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg and Esbjerg.
The Foundation has provided support to the work of Kofoed’s School for several years.
