Objective

The objective of Ole Kirk’s Foundation is to support non-profit and charitable purposes. The Foundation supports social, cultural, church related, humanitarian and educational purposes, primarily in Denmark.In 2008, the Foundation made grants in the amount of 10,003,215 DKK

Cultural projects

The Foundation gives priority to cultural projects that try out new visions and ideas. Projects and initiatives that enhance the quality of life and the human values carry great weight, especially so when related to children, young people and families. The Foundation does not usually contribute to the daily operation of projects. It will generally take a positive position towards initiatives that involve an element of volunteerism.

Local projects

Over the years, the Foundation has granted support to projects and initiatives in the municipality of Billund with a view to creating good and attractive leisure activities for the local residents and employees with the LEGO® Group. Projects that carry only local importance will not usually receive grants, though.
