Ole Kirk’s Foundation supports social, cultural and educational projects primarily in Denmark.

One of the original purposes of the Foundation was to develop the local community around the LEGO® Group into an attractive living environment for its employees. When the company first started in 1932, it was not an easy task to attract well-qualified candidates to a small village in the middle of nowhere with only three houses and a general store. Today, Billund has some of the best facilities for children and families in Denmark.

Ole Kirk's Foundation has developed immensely, and is now active across the whole nation. The Foundation supports non-profit and charitable projects, primarily in Denmark.

The Foundation accepts applications from the general public, and receives almost 2000 applications a year from idealistic and dedicated people with a good cause and a heart of gold from all over the country.
